1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Zillowe Foundation website, documentation, and tools (including Zoi), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Zillowe Foundation provides open-source software, documentation, and development tools. These services are provided "as is" and are subject to change or discontinuation at any time without notice.

3. Use of Zoi

Zoi is our universal package manager. By using Zoi, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Telemetry: Zoi may collect anonymous usage data. This is disabled by default and only active if you explicitly opt-in. See ourTelemetry Documentation.
• System Modifications: Zoi may modify your system environment, including but not limited to: altering your PATH variable, installing binaries, creating background services (systemd, launchd, etc.), and executing lifecycle hooks or Lua-based plugins.
• Security: While Zoi provides tools for PGP signature verification, you are responsible for managing your trusted keys and verifying the authenticity of the software you install.

4. Third-Party Content

Zoi allows you to install software from various registries and repositories. Zillowe Foundation does not control, and is not responsible for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party software or registries. You install such software at your own risk.

5. Intellectual Property

Most of our software and documentation is released under open-source licenses (such as MIT or Apache 2.0). Your use of such materials is governed by the specific license associated with the project. The Zillowe name and logo are trademarks of the Zillowe Foundation.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure. Unauthorized attempts to access our systems or data are strictly prohibited.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." ZILLOWE FOUNDATION DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZILLOWE FOUNDATION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Zillowe Foundation is established, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes by posting the new terms on this page.
